The Coward

Amitabha Roy is a Calcutta-based scriptwriter, driving around in the country to collect material for a film. His vehicle breaks down in a small town. A tea planter, Bimal Gupta, offers hospitality for the night. Amitabha is forced to accept the offer as he has no alternative.

Hen

The film follows the adventurous story of a hen desperately seeking to start a family, all while a harrowing human tragedy unfolds in the background. "With great power comes great responsibility"—but what happens when the hero is merely a hen? After escaping a poultry farm, she finds refuge in the yard of a dilapidated restaurant. There, she discovers love, confronts the pecking order of the coop, and fights to protect her eggs from a greedy owner. Her wry yet moving quest for motherhood mirrors the difficult compromises and silent struggles of human life.
